I just reconstructed the sound in a way similar to how he did it, although I used software versions of the synths in question (a Native Instruments B4 going into an Arturia 2600). It took a minute or two to set it up with one LFO (triangle or sine) sweeping the VCF and another (square) retriggering ...

Hi Mike :-) Many thanks! I understand that this workaround is a possible solution, but it would have been very nice to have the sequencer import the wav and split it automatically

But a workaround is better than nothing!

There's no way to have the OASYS split a stereo in a mono wav, right?

Many thanks for this, sharp. The sound is absolutely amazing and you're right regarding the CPU usage. Would love to have a wind controller to give it a try, but I don't have one

Hey SoulBe, here's another converter which you might consider. http://www.extranslator.com/ From the specs it seems to be able to import Emu files. You can get the manual from the page, so perhaps it is easy to find out. EDIT: Hey Sharp, didn't you say you bought a V-Machine? There's some kind of ...

Re: I was totally Right on January When I said...

The prototype I know names : "Korg Earth". Mmhh, "Korg Earth". That's really sad because then, after its birth, there's only one workstation left to come in a few years: "Korg Universe"  Hey, come on, what's up with this I-can't-tell-you-more thing! You're trolling and you know it ...

... The problem is every time the subject came up, the responses were along the lines of "The sequencer can't be totally re-worked", even though some folks were not actually asking for anything that even remotely looked like "totally re-working it". Just smoothing out the edges. Along the same ...

I'm sorry, but if you spend $ 8,000 on a product that *might* contain some feature in the future you're a bit naïve and unreasonable. Reading this thread I can only conclude that the Oasys is a great product and that it's users are generally very happy with it. ... Yes, I'm sorry that I believed in ...

You forget that there were some OASYS wishlists earlier on that said things like "I wish we had FM synthesis", or "I wish we had more synth engines" or "I wish we had better brass sounds..." Some things will always be addressed, some will not. .... Anyway, sorry, I don't know why I am particularly ...

Wasted IFX slot - Better solution?

Hi! I'm experimenting with the vocoder right now. It's very much fun to play with. I. e. take a piano and have a brass section follow your voice, especially a mute Tp/Tb section is very nice (ok, piano and brass on the same midi channel) :D! Much more natural response than just playing the brass ...

They can't and won't because nothing will happen... At least, I don't expect anything to come ! The cash cow (we) did our job. Thanks and good bye!
