I played the CP1 only in a shop - but I remember it had both: an excellent sound + great keys (very good to play). And the lights on the backside are so COOL!

No, no - let him keep writing - otherwise I wouldn't have gotten my best laugh of the day ... that was when t_tangent turned Basari into Basmati! :3drofl: Ok - sorry Basari for that ... I usually don't make fun about other people's name. But your "appearance" here was a bit ... strange. :roll ...

Dan has commented on the sonic quality and stated it's the same (same converters and same algorithms). For me as an Oasys user it seems Kronos is not an issue for the time being. Might have another look at it once I play more on stage again (I don't like carrying my Oasys 88 around  ). Until ...

For me this is not only a big point - it is THE point! I view it like this: for people owning an Oasys already but using it mainly in their studio there's no real need for a Kronos. Perhaps an excellent DAW-integration might justify it - provided it is supported for a "long" time. If it's not ...

Hooray, hooray! Thanx for this answer Dan - you just saved my day ... that is, you just saved me time to think wether it makes sense in my case to switch from Oasys to Kronos. And right now it doesn't. Phew ... 8) But I might get a Kronos in addition if I play more live. I don't like carrying ...

It's truly the best sounding and most capable single instrument I've worked on for Korg since 1988 (and that includes the M1, Wavestation, Z1 (AMAZING SYNTH!!), Trinity, Triton, OASYS, Wavedrums (both versions) and many Now this is the first time I hear someone saying Kronos is sounding better than ...
