@Kontrol: thanks for sharing these thoughts - that was quite interesting. I have no experience with the MV but heard quite many good things about it. I guess for people like you and me a "simple but stable hardware-solution" is the better choice. I'm glad I dont have to worry about PC/Mac-Updates ...

@Eric: I came from Mac/Cubase + several synths and switched to Oasys only - that is, I don't use any other hard/software. I agree, the sequ-interface is years behind ... but the Oasys' all-in-one solution is better than any other workstation available right now and once you've made it through the ...

I run the same OS and dont experience any such problems. (Knock on wood  ) But I won't install 1.3 until the sequ-issues with 1.3 are resolved or good workarounds are available.

So - I'm back from my vacation and right befor I left this "1.3-Sequ.-Bounce-etc." issue started and kept me from installing 1.3 (as I rely 100% on the Oasys Sequencer). I haven't been through all threads here yet - but this seems the right place for my questions: 1. Is the problem resolved? 2. Will ...

Sorry to read that, Mike. :( Having such a difficult time perhaps you can regard the remarks on your release date as a compliment. There are quite some people here looking forward to learning from an expert how to get more out of their Oasys and improve their workflow. BTW I'm honestly one of them ...

but the sequencer for example is really important to me (a piano roll for example would be so much easier, and in my opinion possible to implement on such a large screen). I highly recommend to have a detailed look at the sequencer befor you buy an Oasys if this aspect is so important to you ...

There are song-slots: eg. Song Slot 000 is the first one you see, when you push the sequencer button. You can record whatever you want to there: Midi, Audio, Controller, Karma etc. And from the sequencer-tabs you can choose the pattern tab where you can load and copy drum patterns and handle user ...

I thought the user patterns are only for drum-programming and not for sound-variation?!?

Hehe - funny reading this thread after having posted my 2 questions for Peter's next interview. But I do agree with the advices given here. You won't marry a girl for what she might be in 10 years! (Jesus - hopefully my wife didn't read this  ). The beauty of this beast is (hey - I'm ...

Well - I am interested in the future of Oasys:
1. Will there be a successor for the Oasys? If so, when?
2. Will Korg improve the user interface of the internal sequencer?
And as I know Korgs policy I have vague ideas what his answers might be ...

@RC: by 35 patterns you ment 35 song slots? Or did you actually mean "Patterns" like the User-patterns? And the distorted guitar is a MOD-7 sound? Named "Pure Nit-something" I suspect (sorry - haven't upgraded yet to 1.3  )?

So far I know only one possible outcome of testing an Oasys: wanting to buy it as soon as you can afford it. Obviously that doesn't help. I'm from Austria and it wasn't easy here either. I bought mine from thomann.de who offers a money-back-guarantee in case you don't like it (at least ...

Well, seems like there won't be any updates within the next weeks. Guess I'll give it a try.
