the dummy is in
A friend of mine was using my O when I came across this and I didn't realize he had transposed my synth up a 1/2 step. I just assumed it was a sample rate issue. So now that I put it back, yes, it does play just fine. Thanks for checking that out. And kudos to whoever created this function. It's ...

CD Playback
I've been searching this forum, but have not found my answer. Since the O is internal 48KHz sample playback, and cannot be changed to 44.1KHz, how can I play Audio CD's properly? I practice to them often and discovered the O can play audio cd's while I play Programs. Awesome! But the bloody CD's are ...

Re: Rudess, now using Fantom G instead of OASYS for live use
Well that settles it. Guess I'll sell my O. Actually, not really.Davidb wrote:Hello frieds.
FWIW for those of you who follow Rudess, I was doing some surfing over the net, and I found this.
Its seems that he is no longer using the OASYS in his live shows.
The words "So what" come to mind...

drivers where the issue. now it works great
Running Cubase 4 on WinXP system EMU 1820 PCI system Using the EXB-DI from the O. For anyone having problems getting this to work with the EMU series, try uninstalling both Patchmix software and the Driver. Then use Patchmix v2.10 Driver version 6.0.1.1244 Populates the Adat input from the O ...

Re: midi & smpte
... What is DAW Jason/anyone When I finish the mix, how do I deliver it to the producer with SMTPE timecode which was embedded in the movie? How is the cutter going to know how to sync music and the movie together? DAW is Digital Audio Workstation software. Which is what Cubase is. If you're ...

midi & smpte
Smpte is the sync used for film/video. MTC, midi time code, is used in our world of keyboards and sequencing and software (like Cubase) Mostly, smaller projects are now done by giving you a video file that plays in your DAW (Cubase, ProTools, Logic) and then you score in the software via your Oasys ...

noticing posts
I've been away from the forum for a couple of months. But I have noticed the posts drift from questions & sharing about the O to people actually whining about their purchase, complaining or ranting about price/complexity. Wow... The usual suspects reply and I have to say it's been noted that the ...

The MOD-7 and Virus TI are quite different, each with different strengths. I'd be more interested in comparisons between the MOD-7 and synths which are similar in one way or another, such as the SY-77/99 or K2xxx. - Dan I'm on board with this one. I moved on from my SY99 (1991) to the Oasys this ...

Sequencer complaints
I am surprised at the amount of upset there is about the sequencer. It's only a small part of a very wonderful whole unit. I hear you, those who argue that the sequencer should be awesome for the cost. I get it. But it's not something that weighed in the decision to by mine. It was the experience ...

programs
512 programs in the M3? huge mistake, no competition for the fantom x, heck the Triton extreme will appeal to more folks. You know, call me old fashioned, but.... How the hell is this a problem? Plus it's misleading. I say you're ill-informed. I'd rather 128 awesome, well implemented, useable ...
