Not too sure how to do vocoding on the M3 without looking at the manual.

You do not need the Radias board for vocoding as the M3 already has a vocoder. That said, the Radias board would give you a better vocoder.

I have had the Classic, Studio, Extreme and M3.

I think the Studio is the best looking, and most solidly built synth to date from Korg!

On the combination screen, there are two rows of buttons within the Bank/Program section. One row allows to you Play or Mute the sound, and the second allows you to solo the sound. Is it anything to do with the polarity of your foot pedal. I remember that only certain compact flash cards worked on the Triton Extreme, but am not aware that there is any such issue with USB memory sticks. I would go for the 1gb Sandisk Ultra II as it givers the best performance.
