Thanks very much. The electric and acoustic guitar sounds are played using the Oasys sequencer. They were recorded in real time. I have never learned how to do steptime recording on the Oasys. (Maybe someone can tell me how to do it.)

Oasys song: "Alan Greenspan's Bathtub"

Here is a new song that is a cross between David Gilmour and Aaron Copland. All sounds, including the wah-wah guitar solo, were produced by and recorded on the Oasys. No external mixing or signal processing was done. http://www.gregorysidakmusic.com/component,8/action,show_content/id,8/album_id,2 ...

http://www.gregorysidakmusic.com/component,8/action,show_content/id,8/album_id,2/ Here is a new song with an ambient feel and synthesized percussion. Scroll to the bottom of the page at URL above. I was thinking of "Red Rain" by Peter Gabriel when I was writing it, so any similarity is ...

I use a Western Digital "My Book" external hard drive. It is small enough to fit behind the display screen. I keep it permanently connected to one of the USB ports on the Oasys.

tribute song to Steve Hackett recorded on Oasys

http://www.gregorysidakmusic.com/component,8/action,show_content/id,8/album_id,4/ I just composed and recorded a song on the Oasys that is a tribute to Steve Hackett, one of my favorite guitarists, entitled, "A Day with Steve Hackett." I try to emulate his style on Genesis albums like Foxtrot ...

new O song: "The End of the Beginning"

Here is the link to a new song of mine that features lots of sounds of guitars and drums, probably influenced by Rush circa "Snakes and Arrows." All sounds are the Oasys. The song is recorded on the internal Oasys sequencer with no external processing or sequencing. http://www.gregorysidakmusic.com ...

"The Great Winged Monkey": what Oasys does

My latest composition, entirely recorded with and on the Oasys, is "The Great Winged Monkey." Go to the following page and scroll all the way to the bottom (it is the last song): http://www.gregorysidakmusic.com/component,8/action,show_content/id,8/album_id,2/ The piece is a frenetic 2:17 in length ...

For those of you who already own an Oasys, is there anything that you could do with second connected to the first that you cannot already do with a single instrument? I realize that there might be some advantages in a live setting (as well as having a spare on tour, if the first failed). But I am ...

Listen to what Sting does on bass on the last verse of "Wrapped Around Your Finger" on The Police album Synchronicity. Something changes and the song sounds jazzier.

The strumming is all manual. I recorded the solo more than a year ago on a quite different arrangement of the song. I did not like that arrangement and decided this weekend to rebuild the song from scratch by copying individual tracks into a new song, leaving behind what I did not like. In a ...

Tribute to George Harrison, recorded on Oasys

Tonight, I posted on my music website my tribute to George Harrison, entitled, "Songs That I Have Written But Forgotten." I composed the song 24 years ago, but it could only reach it full potential on an instrument as versatile as the Oasys. The song appears at the bottom of the following webpage ...

Charlie is correct. I have a day job. So, when I have time to spend on the Oasys, I want to spend it composing. Thanks, Kevin, for the kind words. Given my time constraints, I could not begin to write a tutorial. Also, is the question one of composing or of getting sounds from the Oasys? With regard ...
