I have also noticed that there is a gap in my OASYS between the black felt and the keys, in my piano the felt is touching the keys effectively preventing dust (and ladybugs) getting in. The gap is 4mm wide at right end of the keybed, 1mm at left, and 3mm at center. I imagine it is not supposed to be ...

WOW! Love the melody and the mood of the start!
I like mix #1 more, the reverb gives more distance, a bit more melancholy.
But to my taste the beat and e.piano are too uplifting, I would prefer darker mood.
The lead is great sounding, is that the STR-1?

Hi all, I thought I drop in as I too have the APC SmartUPS 1500. I power my PC, two LCD displays, audiointerface, two powered monitors, subwoofer and OASYS with this one unit. And it has an USB connection to initiate proper shutdown of your PC if you are not in at the moment of trouble. Now two ...

I have the original Micro Track and it's great, but does not fill this need.
Another possible way would be with a device that records only when it detects signal.

@Swampfox
While all your suggestions are good for normal recording tasks, my prime requirement is that the device is recording at all times.
I was hoping that perhaps one of the portable recorders would offer the kind of functionality I'm describing in my earlier message.

Concerning the .mp3 conversion, do you have a 5.1 system, sirCombatWombat? Maybe then I can upload the 6 audio files.. but they are not the smallest ones as you can imagine. Not at my studio, but I have a home theater system with 5.1. The file size was the reason I suggested the mp3 surround ...

There has to be a device that records continuously to a hard drive, overwriting the old data and keeping a hour or so of audio in memory. Kind of like my set top harddisk recorder does to my cable channels. That would enable the kind of instant replay you are talking of. I have searched for ...

Thanks Peter, I researched the Neuron in the web and now understand more, it's a real shame their business had to fail. How far did they get in fixing the initial problems in it? I understand that the Neuron was also released in a plugin + controller form, but I guess that it would be as hard to ...

Well while not strictly for the OASYS the Vienna Symphonic Library Super Package is at least pricewise 'upping'. $18030 for the Full package.

The liquid cooling would be not easy to transport with, That is a good point, and I think that the modern silent fan design is really enough. I would be willing to test identical replacement to the fan also, but I can't find one anywhere. The reason I am not talking with my local Korg dealer here ...

The O is clean and it is not too old, I acquired it about six months a go. The fan sounds very slightly scratchy, and I remember it being like that from the beginning. The fan type is peculiar, it has a larger hub than a normal PC fan which makes me think it could be more efficient. I am thinking of ...
