If you sit, you can't do this: <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fcharles.lima.39948%2Fvideos%2Fvb.100002872370108%2F404462379659504%2F%3Ftype%3D3&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="315" scrolling="no" frameborder="0 ...

Just don't mention transpose on the keyboard forum! When people would rather put out a bad performance instead of just pressing the transpose - they have lost the intent of why they are there. It's not for their ego and the transpose function - it's to play the music. Anyway I digress! I already ...

Yeah, I didn't know about the setlist transpose - that works best. It doesn't change your split points like the global transpose does, plus I can save different setlists for different bands and not have to have 2 sets of combis. The exception is for instance uptown funk where I have a clap from a ...

I've always stood. It's bad enough being back in the corner behind a wall of keyboards....if you can't move around, you may as well be part of the back drop. I always try to dance around and get into it as much as possible. That's very difficult to do while sitting.

Tuning Down

I may be joining a new band that tunes down a half step - auditioned with them Friday night. Some of the songs they do, I also do with other bands. I quickly realized that doing a global transpose messes up all of your split points, so I had to go into each combi and shift all the sounds down 1/2 ...

Also looking back, the Roland EV-5 is wired wrong for the Kronos. Ashby solutions makes an adapter that will correct it, or get the Yamaha FC7.

First step is decide how you want the pedal to operate globally. Meaning this: most organ patches use CC#4 to operate like an actual Hammond organ swell pedal would work. If you assign it to that globally, it will work with all the organ patches as expected. You could also do 7 (volume) or 11 ...

One thing to add to the above, any sounds that you want triggered by the local keyboard (so part of your split/layer) must be assigned to the global Midi Channel (gCh).

2 things: 1). While the Kronos does have balanced outs, the one thing that a DI offers that I have found to be a necessity is ground isolation and signal level matching. Highly recommend the Radial DI 2) as mentioned, not all FOH is stereo. If not, they will collapse your sound to mono no matter ...

No, not at all....as long as default was to use the global setting, but you could override it. Just like the audio routing. You can set a global default for the inputs, but override it in a patch/combi/song. 95% of what I need to do is the default foot pedal assigned to CC4 which works great for all ...

>That's fine for internal stuff, but doesn't help for external. Wait, so the mapping to the knob won't work? I thought that will work for external as well? I was referring to the suggestion that I quoted, not yours. As for your suggestion, that would require that I go back through every single ...

More s**t I have to bring out. I could also use a midi solutions box. There are plenty of options that complicate my rig. Instead of using the POD, I could get the pedalboard option or buy a guitar amp. None of that changes the fact that that there is some VERY basic functionality missing that my ...
