What is best for me

Post by ellll »

O.K. Short and sweet...WHAT can an old man with excellent general music skills, mostly classical, experienced classical composer, and limited electronics (hooking up wires, learning protocol,..etc...), buy, used or possibly new...to replace an O1W, ..that >>would be AS EASY to learn to operate<<, and would be superior in sound??? (I KNOW...BIG order!!)

Within a month or so I WILL find something...

My Usual Thanks and Regards!! ellll ..(John)

I need to ad...For me..notes is everything...Sound means almost nothing, but I DO need better..I would prefer a PERFECT three part invention on piano over almost anything in extreme music engineering...John

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for budgetwise, but you might check out the Yamaha PSR-S900 or the Roland G-70.

It seems that the "easy to use", and the "power on, be inspired and play" are the most wanted features...
well, the very first thing wich come into my mind is to get you a M3 module: you already have a controller (the 01W), and I can only see benefits for you with the M3:
- it's korg, so you already know how they works
- it has the karma2: you can use that system in a lot of different levels, if you are not that good with electronics, you can use it just to trigger notes for you, but if you go in depht you'll find great other usages
- it can be used as a plugin into your sequencer
- when you power it on, you'll discover a new way to make music
- it has great sounds, and as you're a classical composer, you'll find good orchestral sounds, goodp iano, and so on.

so, having that saied, I think it should be a great deal for you.
If you have to stay in the budget, well...search for a trinity, or for a triton le.

My thanks!! Diego!!

It is the first that someone lined up the factors to think about so well...Sounds right, and I have been WAITING to find something that would operate well from my keyboard..(It is, simply like brand new as far as the keybed is concerned..and I don't believe you could easily match it today...so why not use it?)

Should you think of another few set-ups that could be used by the O1W, please drop me a line!! I am open to anything...less than the price of a new Oasys....

My Regards, and THANX!! John
