sequencer cutting out

Post by jgsidak »

I've been working on a song on the sequencer. I really did not change it much from the previous version, which played back fine. Now, I getting tracks cutting out (the polyphony limitation problem). I know about setting the track priority. And I know about the work-around of deleting inessential tracks or measures or bouncing MIDI to audio. But, honestly, this is pretty exasperating. Does KORG have a fix for this or not? Does the Oasys need more memory? What's the fundamental problem? Right now, sixteen MIDI track are not really sixteen tracks at all.

Sometimes I find my self dealing with the same problem... are you using too much IFXs slots? Try recording the same part in diferent tracks, like, intro+verse 1+chorus+verse. Also, if you're a Piano player (like me) using the damper pedal a lot may cause the polyphony to run out...
