I am loading songs that I recorded on the OASYS onto a new music website I am launching. I want to trim off some silence at the beginning and end of each WAV file so there is not excess waiting time for the song to start and the track to end. I don't want to go back and edit the OASYS tracks and then record new WAV files. Can someone recommend how best to do this? I was able to do it using Audacity, but I am concerned that it introduces an unwanted middle step that degrades the sound quality (WAV to Audacity file to .mp3). I want to go straight from WAV to .mp3. (I presume that there is no way to do this on the OASYS itself, right?)
The same questions are relevant to editing WAV files to create teasers for each song for website visitors to sample.
Thanks.
