Hi Richard -

I’m confused by your offer. Does it require KARO samples to work, or are you restricting your offer to KARO customers for business reasons?

If the former - I see you point; but if the latter, I have to say I find your offer potentially dubious - it's certainly a new one to me and a quite a novel way of prompting KARO sales. Are you with KARO - and do KARO endorse this?

Also, if you're offering programs with a requirement of purchasing KARO sounds first; you are essentially offering a bonus to an existing purchase. Hence I would expect that you to will comply with the rigorous release standards that KARO, Karma-Lab and EJ2 adhere to with regard to all aspects of programming – KARMAFIED, Controller sets, Sound Levels corrected, Effects Settings etc; and which Stephen Kay has reminded others of regarding similar personal sales over at Karma-Lab. If people are to pay for sounds (which if they acquire your sounds they must make a purchase - whether directly or through your novel scheme), professional standards should apply.

It's free (so if all the sounds are not karma-ified......you know what i mean) bank for all karo users to THANK them for having purchased a bank. At the beginning i wanted to make a free extension for the KVA i made with karo, which i think was NICE (before reading your post), I only spent about 70 real hours to make it. And i said to myself, why not give it to all karo customers as a "thank you friends" for supporting Karo. Why not give to every people ? because i wanted to thank especially people who trusted me on KVA, and i think this bank Fat & Analog is even better.

It's EXI based, again, and it does not require any sample.

SO kevin, please, don't see evil everywhere, it's not to push up karo sales (i'm not paid for karo's bank sales, except the "little" KVA, but that's finished)

I'm looking forward to hearing/using your new sounds. I bought KVA and liked it a lot - and I found it quite interesting, how one could hear the different styles of you and Kurt/Oliver in programming sounds.

RC donated us this Exi library and it`s a free give away for all KARO users.
Richard is a very good friend of ours and gave us last time lots of help to creating demos and also fantastic sounds!
In the future will be determined between KARO and Richard continue to give very good cooperation...

I still personally don't like the 'tone' of this thread. I realise I'm speaking for myself only here, and have no objection whatever to commercial ventures in music technology - that's what drives it forward of course and I personally spend an absolute fortune on music gear and am always happy to do so.

But - the original post was directed at ALL OASYS users, signifying some sort of freebee through a slightly confusing message, while in actuality it is intended ONLY for those who purchase Karo sounds. It's a covert ad.

The original post would have read, to me, 100% honest, upfront and valid if it had addressed at it's beginning 'All Karo sounds Oasys users'.

I don't feel I'm being paranoid here - I got a distinct unpalatable taste in my mouth with the original post.

If you’re selling sound, say so. If you’re directing free offers to only a sub-set of Oasys users, then indicate that clearly from the outset - it's all a little too much like the junk mail you get that says 'YOU'VE WON $1000000 - to collect your prize - send $100 to this PO Box number...."

the title is New oasys bank, where do you see it's for all users as you said? you want me (or us) to make title as long as a whole thread ?

anyway, the original post, as you call it, is still there, so people will make a judgement by themself.

and anyway, even if it was to sell other banks as you think, what it is wrong with that? go and live in cuba or north corea if you prefer.

it's very common in any business that people that have bought something from a company received gift or free upgrades or whatever from this company.

Now, i will not talk with you anymore, you are paranoid, for sure, totally. Next time i'll make a bank it will be free for all, except kevin nolan !!!

to the moderators: i'm sorry that giving away a free bank to people that trust me on a previous bank by purchasing it, is taken by 1 member at this time like junk mail, covert ad (karo don't need me to make advertisement of their products). I am an oasys owner, and as far as i can read this message, the offer has nothing to do with the karo sample made dvd's.

So i am wondering why don't you sell it apart as own made stuff, why is this related to the karo business.

If you publish this kind off message on other musical forums, you will be banned, because of the manner you try to sell you products.

If you had published a message like this on the east west soundsonline company, i am sure your post was deleted within 5 miniutes.


So i am wondering why this post still exists on this forum.


Maybe administrators of this forum have any relation with you, in having some kind of stuff for free, whitout paying for karo libraries.

I just don't understand what the upset is about ... the OP makes it clear you get a free bank if you already own a Karo bank. I bought the KVA product when it was released and subsequently got this for free, it's a GOOD thing, a very good thing. What's the problem ? I don't have any affiliation with KARO or get any kick backs. I think RC is just being a good guy and not so divisive as you folks appear to be worrying.

No one has ever complained about Karo letting us know what they were doing here before. We're lucky to have their third party support, as well as the support of EJ2 and Mike Conway.
