I'm planning to get a Kaoss Mini to use for my productions. Is it easy to hook it up with my Macbook, and how do I do that? Via line-in? And how do I use it with my software (Reason 4)?
Simply put I want to manipulate the sounds that come out of my laptop and record that manipulation on my laptop.
Thanks in advance.

First, do you use an audio interface, like a MOTU Ultralite?
If so, pick up a small mixer (I use a BEHRINGER Xenyx 802, which was $70.00 US new). In fact, pick one up regardless because a mixer is the most important tool for setting tone and levels on a recording. Send the output from the laptop and audio interface into the mixer, use Send and Return with the mini-KP (which gives you clean and effected channels to choose from), and then send the mixer's main output back into the audio interface, and by extension, the laptop DAW.
If you have just the laptop, I forsee a problem, because the stereo In and Out of the mini-KP uses dual RCA connections, and laptops just have a single 1/8'' inch jack.
Easiest way in this case is to get two 1/4" to 1/8" inch cables and well as two dual RCA to dual 1/4" cables. Line out the laptop's 1/8" audio output into a mixer, connect the mini-KP to Send and Return (which gives you clean and effected channels to choose from), and then line out back into the laptop's 1/8" input. Be prepared that the audio quality may not be as good as with an audio interface.
