About a month ago, I had my pa1x-pro set up in the house. I'd been playing for about half an hour, then left it (switched on) for some time to do other things. When I put my headphones back on, the sound was very loud and distorted. Changing styles or sounds would cure the distortion for about 4/5 seconds, during which time each consecutive key press (any key) would play notes of an octave, like a test tone.
Switching on and off didn't help, so I left it overnight and it was ok.
This happened again last night, about 30 minutes into a gig. It would've been a disaster if I didn't have my pa2x-pro with me.
Any ideas?
Terrible output problem with pa1x -pro

My two cents worth; it sounds like you have an overheating-problem.
Most electronic components will change drastically in character and tolerance when excerted to temperatures below and beyond normal operating-spec's.
Now...why this might be the case, I have no idea, but it seems to me as you really need to get this looked at.
