Pads and sustain pedal
Hi,
I tried to enable sustain/damper pedal for the 8 pads, but I couldn´t find where to do this and in the manual I found no hint. I´m using the pads for sounds on different midi channels, and want to enable the pedal for some of them, while for other pads not. Is that possible ?
Thanks

Not sure if you mean pads as in sounds, or pads as in the pads under the screen.
If you are talking about sounds, then if you don't want any sustain on some of the pads, why don't you alter the release parameter on a per pad basis?

I ment the 8 pads under the screen. Do you have any idea, where to enable/disable sustain for them? to enabledisable damper-checkbox in timbre parameters seems to have no effect on the 8 pads.
To alter the release parameter on the sound is not really what I need (so far I tried this as a solution), because you cannot react precisely.
Thanks

SoulBe,
enabling the Damper Switch does not have any effect in general or only does not work when you press the Pads?
I remember that I had a similar problem with a combination that enabling the box did not have an influence at all... I have gone to another one where it worked and started reprogramming everything... but in my case I am sure it was a typical user error.

Peter,
it only has no effekt on the pad, when it is pressed. For example: on the keyboard I have a piano sound and an organ sound/timbre on basic midi channel, on the pad a wide spreading string chord on midi channel 2. For the piano and organ sound enabling/disabling work well, for the pad not.

I´m not sure what you mean. For example:peter m. mahr wrote:soulbe,
hm... there is something i do not understand. why can you hear then the pad sound when you trigger only brass and strings with the pads?
peter
I programmed a setup for a "don´t blame it on the boogie" -cover. On the keys I have several sounds/timbres all put in different zones, clavs, organ, strings etc, all using basic midi channel. On the pads I have brass chords programmed with chord assingment. The brass timbre uses channel 2, 3 etc, so it only sounds, when I use one of the 8 pads, not when I play the keys. But I cannot sustain a sound / chord triggered by the pad.
If I play via my masterkeyboard channel 2 the brass sound, then I can sustain the sound. To me it seems, that sounds/timbres that are triggered with the pads on a different midi channel as the global channel couldn´t be sustained.
