R3 Sound editor 'Device inquiry error'

Post by mikeleonhart »

I am running windows Vista.
I have set Mini In and Midi out to 'R3' as I do not have the ones mentioned in the manual.

Whenever I try to Recieve any data the software says "Device inquiry error"

Same error on my laptop which is also running Vista.

have you run the 'install Korg USB-MIDI device' utility in start > programs > Korg

installing the driver is not enough, you have to run the utility to associate the driver with the device, otherwise sometimes windows uses a generic driver that doesn't work with the korg devices.

Funnily enough that option wasn't under my programs list until I had restarted my computer twice instead of once since the install..

Working fine now :)
Thanks
