Footswitch with X-50

Post by synmeer »

Hi

I got my X-50 about a week ago, have learned most of its basic operating. I have a simple footswitch with one on/off button, and it works very good with the synth. Here is the problem:

I created a combi with 2 splitted sounds for a certain song to play two different instruments in same octave, but from different zones. There is a part in the song where I need them to be layered, to play exactly the same melody with both instruments, withouth having to use both of my hands to do it. Is there a way to kinda "activate" 3rd instrument (which is the same as intrument 2) to play it layered with the 1st one? Or should I just learn to use velocity-switch to do the thing for me?

Thank you

Velocity switch would be a pain in the arse.

I don't think there's a way to do it the way you want in a single combi. You could create another combi immediately after the first one with this setting, then use a foot switch to activate it when needed.
