Windows Vista R3 usb cant install

Hey everyone.
I'm hoping to find a solution to my painful problem through this forum.

I've been a happy korg r3 user for the past year. Recently, I upgraded my setup and needed to restore my computer to its factory settings. After doing that, Korg R3 refuses to operate through USB connection.

Whenever I turn it on, it fails the driver install. I did go to device manager under system settings and tried to update it manually through the installer CD, but that ended up in an error message "This device can not start (Code 10)".

Any ideas how to tackle this weird problem?

Oh gosh. I found a solution already.

Windows apparently assigned its own drivers for my R3 and it somehow managed to mess up the whole process.

the USB drivers included with the R3 are for XP, not Vista.

I know. Weird or not, my R3 has been working for more than a year on Vista. No problemo with anything.

Hope it continues to do just that.
