The Korg PadKontrol has a direct MIDi cable connection that can connect direct to the Pa2x/Pa800. But the pads cannot be programmed with chords, only single notes, so its less flexible than the other stuff I mentioned. It makes a good Drum pad accessory though.

Is there one like the nanoKontrol (able to control volume levels of individual tracks) but with direct connection to the pa ?

Hi rbalaa

in which case do you use only the ACCs without drums/perc,Bass ?

I often use the Drum/Perc. standalone. To realize this is very easy.
Memory off and no playing the lower-part. So only the Drum/perc-Tracks will run.
You have only switch off the memory-function for a little time. You can activ this function immediately. The ACCs will run again when you are playing the lower-area again. (When scanning-mode stands to "Lower")
Best regards from germany

In many cases, too much to list. Ex: You want only Acc2 (guitar) to play with the drum. Often I want to completely mute all Drum/Perc and only have a string chord sequence which is on Acc3 for example ...

O.K.
have you already make some expiriences with the solo-function.
Hold Shift and press on a style-Track. You can mute more than one track and you can use the solo-function.
But I think this is not sure enough.

Not forgetting that a lot of techno, dance and similar styles also use a lot of track muting. This used to be a doddle on the i30 where you had a mute button at the bottom of each slider. Why Korg dropped this idea is a mystery to me. Maybe it was too simple.

Yes, it's called a Pa2x

Also there is this unit from Behringer that will probably supplement the Pa800 very nicely ...

Just be sure before you get it that the Pa800 provides MIDI control for all the parameters you want. Check the manual. The MIDI implementation on Pa800/Pa2x is fairly basic compared with for example the M3 where almost everything can be changed using SysEx.

Regards,
Rob
