just want confirmation on the kaossilator pro loop-rec

so you can overdub loops infinitely, but you cannot adjust any volume of the loops afterward, I'm talking about when overdubbing on a single pad, is that correct?

if this answers your question (i'm not sure) - you can change volume for each of the four loop banks

Any single pad would be the same as the yellow Kaossilator - just overdub, like onto a tapeloop. The cumulative loop volume can be adjusted for each pad.

There are four loopers - each one can be recorded to, muted etc, and each one has its own pad.

korg calls the pads loopbanks. you have 4 loopbanks to record loops, with infinite overdubing (you can record as much as you want on every bank. only the length of the banks is limited to max 16 beats).
as you can see in the manual you can change the volume for the current programm with a controller (no. 5). that means you can change the volume of the programm you are using (e.g. a bass) before recording to fit in the loopbank (e.g. pad 1 = bank 1) - and after recording you can still change the volumes of the 4 loopbanks. :D

that is pretty cool, one of the main things that irritated about the KO was the inability to change the level of each noise

think of it as 4 kaossilators in 1 unit. + some effects/sampling/synths

Korg also likes to describe it as "4 kaossilators in 1 unit" but it's really "1 Kaossilator with 4 loopers in 1 unit"
(including external audio looping with some effects and with more synth/drum presets and the ability to save loops).
