Last version of OS

What is the last version of Triton Extreme?

My version is 1.0.4. How to update it, and what kind of advantages will it bring, if any?

Good idea to update from 1.0.5?

i think the only real change is a bug with the EXB-MOSS board... something about transposition. def a good idea to upgrade from 1.0.5, but i didn't really use the MOSS card in depth, i never bothered to upgrade my Triton EX and didn't miss anything

update os

Post by lebeau99 »

I don't have EXB-MOSS. But I wonder if an update would solve this freezing of the track function in Seq mode problem that I've had off and on over the last 6 mos or so. ( Although not for the last month.) Someone else was having the same problem and there was a thread started but no solution. David

track freezing? try checking your damper pedal polarity ... even if there is no pedal attached, if a pedal is somehow engaged, you can't change tracks unless you leave SEQ mode.

Now that is INTERESTING! I do have a damper pedal, a sort of generic model, and the polarity is not the Korg standard. I will check this out. If I remember correctly, I have indeed been able to change tracks in
Combi mode when I haven't been able to in Seq. Thank you. This has been bothering me for a while. David

You can change the damper polarity in GLOBAL mode under Controllers - change the - to a +

damper polarity

Post by lebeau99 »

Yes that's true. But it's a Yamaha pedal and if I leave it at Korg standard polarity then the sustain function of the pedal is on all the time and I have to use the pedal to turn it off, not the way I like to use it. Perhaps I should get a Korg damper pedal but before I do that, I'll ensure that the damper pedal polarity is the cause of the track freezing problem. Andto do that, I'll have to wait until it happens again. I must say that I took that pedal apart and cleaned it and whatnot about 2 months ago and since then I don't think I've had the problem. David
