Touchscreen problem, please help

Post by diggel »

I was trying to get my touchscreen to work faster in the GLobal mode ( touchscreen calibaration) and I saved the setting. Result : My touchscreen does not respond at all so ( it seems ) I can't reset it using the global mode. Who knows how to get this working again !

Hi Diggel

You can recalibrate the touch screen by pressing the GLOBAL button and then press it again - re-calibrate and it should be OK.

Cheers

As Pete said there is a way to go direct to Calibration without having to touch the screen. Its some weird combination of holding down Exit and pressing Global button. I've managed to go into it but stumbled upon it by pressing these buttons a few times first but I can't tell you the exact sequence. I've repeated it several times successfully but still unsure on the exact button sequence.

This combination Global-Intro 1 ( though you have to repeat it several times before it turns to the Calibration screen, so don't give up !) WORKED !! :D :D :D
Thanks !!!

This seems very odd - simply pressing the GLOBAL button twice should take you straight to the calibration screen - did that not happen??

Cheers

I'm not sure if pressing Global twice will bring you there. I have read somewhere on the forum that you should press Global and then "Press & Hold" the second time you press the Global button. This worked for me, although I don't know for sure if holding the button the second time is needed....

Thanks Admar - you are correct!!!!

The manual says:-
Pa1X-301UPG-EFGI.pdf - page 11 wrote:To quickly reach the touch screen calibration page from any other page, press GLOBAL
to enter the Global mode, then press it again and keep it
pressed, until this page appears.
