m3 for live playing

Post by rbalaa »

Hi All.

Can anyone provide hints/tips on how to program the pads to play certain beats and sounds ? This would be nice to use when jamming as opposed to recording. Or if you any other tips, please share.

Thanks.

General way:

1) Bring program(s) to your combi that contain beats/sounds you want to trigger with pads, assing some specific Midi channel to them (not global one neither some ch used by KARMA modules)
2) Set up pads to play desired notes/samples on channel chosen in p1

Thanks for your help. I'm assuming the same can be done in seq mode also. I will go through the links you provided.

The guide in the links provided are great. I was able to load different beats on the pads.

I was wondering if the same could be done for sounds as well. For ex having guitar on pad1 and strings on pad2 and so on ...

Thanks.

Yes, you can. Different sounds on different midi channels and pads assigned to these channels.

If you was thinking about switching sounds using pads, then this is different story but can done also using sysex/rppr technique.
