Hi everybody,
got Kaoss Pro couple days, so I got still lot a things to learn. What I'm curious is - I'm able to send any wav sound to one of 4 loop recorder banks, but I would like to send into programs (0-199) or at least one of 8 favourite buttons. I tried to search for solution but without success. I hope it does not mean that it is not possible.
And one additional question, which might be solution of my first question. Is there any program which allows you to link together Kaoss Pro and e.g. Fruity Loops? I got FL8, but it does not seems to be possible, anyway I heard that in FL9 there is much more plugins available.
Any help appreciated, thx

Its not possible.
You can load a loop into one of the four pads because they are looper banks that work with audio recordings.
The 'favourites' and program numbers are preprogrammed sounds that you play with the touchpad. They can't be edited or replaced.
And what do you mean by 'link together'?
you can connect the USB and send MIDI clock over it to get the two to play in sync, but then if you want to record the KOPro into FL then you need to connect the output of the KOPRo to your audio interface or sound card like you would with any other instrument.

At the moment I'm able to play Kaoss through my PC, so I'm able to hear Kaoss and e.g.Fruity Loops...but I had on my mind "link together" like it could be for example with MIDI keyboard which has pads like MPC. There is MPC plugin in Fruity loops...so I though there is maybe something similar like that for such a machine.
The KOPro's external MIDI mode does allow you to send MIDI note messages if you want to sequence patterns or whatever in FL using the KOPro as a controller. As in, not using the KOPro's sounds, but sounds from your computer.
Again you can do that just by using the USB connection as it carries MIDI data over a virtual software MIDI port.

Do I understand you correctly, that just by connecting Kaoss via USB with computer (without using MIDI In/Out), Kaoss is able to "modify" any sound comming from Fruity Loops? How it looks like? I mean have you experiencies with that to describe it to me? Hardware part how to connect together is clear for me, but I still cant get how exactly it works once I have Kaoss turned on and started Fruity Loops. What should I do on Kaoss and Fruity to make it working?X-Trade wrote:The KOPro's external MIDI mode does allow you to send MIDI note messages if you want to sequence patterns or whatever in FL using the KOPro as a controller. Sorry in advance for this maybe stupid questions, I'm begginer and I still learn.
