I cannot get system updater to work on windows 7 x64

Post by umbrellabuddha »

Is windows 7 x64 flat-out not supported? I noticed in the unzipped archive from the website theres a nested "updater" folder with an identically named updater.exe that seems to open... but I don't see the popup window shown in the instructions -- I just see my device fail to install, or the "update" button remain greyed out.

I just want to sync midi signal from my friends macbook runing ableton with my laptop runing Resolume 3. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Win7 64 doesn't even recognise the KP3. It fails to install the driver for it.

This is before you can even think about trying the updater which behaves exactly as you describe.

Has anyone managed to update to V2 successfully?

Yup, you'll have to find an x86 system to update it, had to do this today myself.
Can't believe this isn't more of an issue online. Could be possible that all the people who got it (KP3) years ago have only just moved to x64 and don't give a s**t about their Kaoss Pads any more.

Really ignorant of Korg though, reminds me of M-Audio's driver woes the more I think of it.
