korg wavestation used in Rush albums

Post by bryan finn »

Hi Guys. Would anyone know whether Geddy Lee of the band, Rush, used the Korg Wavestation in recording any of their albums or on tour? Thanks!!!

Hi There.

As Far as I know Geddy and the boys are all Moog / Oberhiem fans....

Not sure if they ever did use any Wavestations at all either live or on tour.

Best wishes

John

Saw a special on the Paladia network. They used several Roland XV-5080's for various functions.
Too much gear to list.

They certainly did. The Wavestation is all over the Roll the Bones album (that wave sequence in the midsection of "Neurotica" is pretty hard to mistake) and I believe Geddy had a Wavestation in the backstage portion of his keyboard rig on the corresponding tour.

Sorry to exhume a 2-year-old thread, but I came across this by accident on a search and couldn't resist providing a more accurate answer.
