Free samples/PCG: Chroma Pad for Kronos

Post by paalolav »

Here's a freebee for you all.
Yes, it's insanely big (450MB) for a single patch! But it's insanely beautiful.
And it takes about 50MB of your RAM thanks to Korgs streaming technology.
Sampled from my Clavia Nord Modular G2X.
Please let me know if you find any bad loops, and I'll correct it and reupload.
Feel free to make your own Programs and make good music with this pad.
If you make anything cool, I'd love to hear the result.

Dude! I thought you sampled an ARP/Rhodes Chroma. Bad, bad, bad of you... :P

However, it is a nice synth sound, and the Kronos filters are sweeter than the Nord's, so it's all good. By the way, that loop point issue is so subtle, I can barely catch it.

I'm barely using the Kronos' filters... The Nord filters can sound quite wicked on the modular... Glad you liked it.

I'm using a heavily modified version of this patch:

You can always roll your own filters on the G2 though, there are some nice examples at electro-music.com

Indeed you can! And the saturation module helps a lot too.

I'd love to get some more feedback from you!
How's the sound quality?
Would you be interested in more free stuff?
I'm in the process of making a full bank of high quality synthesizer sounds for the Kronos, and would love to get as much feedback as possible. Constructive criticism is good! :D
