Kronos making weird noises

I'm not sure why but when I push on the sustain pedal I'm getting this noise http://soundcloud.com/2damoonmusic/noise It's more noticeable on certain programs and combis than others....It doesn't matter if it's hooked up to the DAW or not and rebooting didn't help....If I turn the midi off disabling the pedal, it doesn't make the noise but that's probably obvious....The only thing different is I loaded up all the user banks with all the free patches....Anyone have any ideas?.....This is really weird....Never had anything like that happen before.....moon

OK....I have everything unplugged and the keyboard is still making the noise everytime you press the pedal....It absolutely did not make this noise until today....Trying to play the Grand piano sounds horrible making that noise everytime you press the pedal...I wanted to do a quick reinitialize but I just discovered I need a usb disk drive...errrrgghh!!!!....Who the heck has one of those lying around?....I know I sure don't....I might just go ahead and load the contents on a flash drive and hope for the best....I don't even know where they sell a disk drive.....I just want to do a simple reinitialize.....

Hey,
Chill out m8...

I think the noise you are talking about is either the Damper noise or mechanical noise...( or even both ) that is on the piano patches...
To turn them off press on the piano picture and you should see the 4 red boxes in the bottom right corner.. deselect as necessary.. page 390 in the parameters manual...

Yep....I feel like an idiot....I just figured it out myself....LOL....I usually don't get myself flustered but it's been a long day of nothing going right....Trying to get plug ins working,etc....I stumbled upon the damper page and clicked it and low and behold, the sound went away.....I don't mind the thud as much as the white noise when pressing it down.....Thanks for the reply......You can all laugh at the noob now.....LOL.....moon

Yep....I was worried the RAM needed reseated or everything needed reinstalled, etc....I unhooked everything but the power and headphones, changed settings, rebooted, etc for about an hour before posting...OH...Let's not forget getting a recording and posting a sample at soundcloud of the damper sound for everyone to hear....

.....Well at least I met one of my New Year resolutions to get something new posted at my soundcloud page....I guess I can check that one off my list....LOL....
