Boot error and "stuck notes"
I have my Kronos 88 since december 2012, after 3 month of use without troubles, I had last week my first boot problem ... it rebooted during the boot process ... I turned it off and on, again boot failure, still happened 2 more times and then it booted normaly. I updated the sytem to 2.0.6 since that time no boot problems, but now I got "stuck notes", especially with sounds of the polysix engine. After restarting the problem is gone but comes back when playing for some time.
KRONOS 88, Trinity V3, Yamaha S80.
The only issues I've had was when loading a large collection of samples, it has been rare, but it has happened, Multis would load into the wrong PCG's. I.E. they were shifted DOWN two slots. Not octave, but in the wrong sounds in a bank. Doesn't happen often, but I know to have TWO versions of the collection saved under different names just in case. Once it has the errors, that collection is useless! So I load the other backup collection under the different name & it works like a charm! Humm... anyone else had this problem? I know how to load, save & create well on the Kronos. It freaks me out when this happens...

Zero problems here, neither software nor hardware, in more than 1 1/2 years.
Maybe doing all the replacements myself (fan, RAM, SSD) was a really wise decision from hindsight, despite perhaps losing guarantee:
it seems that my private quality control has been working much better, than what not so few of other users experienced with official support and/or dealer "fixes" (like the one ending in a broken [by whom??] or "broken" motherboard).
@Saxifraga:
If you want, you can probably easily fix your keybed problem: just loosen the bottom screws enough (upside down on pillows) to be able to move parts, then adjust keybed and front plate, and fix the screws again.
I want to stress the point that it is complete nonsense of anyone from my view, who talks of a buggy OS: the present OS is rock solid and mainly bug free (apart from some extreme conditions which may happen on any modern computer OS). People who claim that the Kronos generally has a buggy OS these days, are absolutely clueless and really have no idea what they are talking about.
Same for the hardware: it's main problem is quality control, not the less sturdy construction than the Oasys. I have had zero hardware problems after fixing the few sensitive points myself. So it's not the basic hardware design (with the one exeption of a subpar fan), but in part heavy quality control failure, which causes problems for some users.

Korg shutting down through heavy playing
My 61 note Kronos randomly shut down accompanied by a digital squeal on three separate occasions in January. Sent it back to Korg who were very accommodating but a real pain in having to do without it for two weeks. They bench tested it and replaced the power supply as a precaution as typically it did not malfunction while on their bench.
Since it's return, I had not had a problem until last night when it did it again!!
The only saving grace this time is that it seems to be when I play the top end vigorously eg vamping a rock n roll piano. It is currently behaving so far as long as I don't give it the Jerry Lee Lewis approach. I shall be contacting Korg again this week as this surely has to be a PCB problem. I have read somewhere a guy who had his complete board replaced.
The trouble is, I have integrated the Kronos so heavily into my setup, I don't think I can do without it with the amount of gigs coming up. I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

So nobody has seen the "problem writing to medium" message yet. I get it every time I do a "save all". Usually this is after I've been recording audio.
Actually, now that I think about it' I get that message everytime I save to disc.
I'm still trying to figure out what the problem is because when I turn my Kronos on the next time, it seems normal to me. I did once have to turn it off and on again at a rehearsal but that has happened only once.

If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
