Just an excited reaction....

Post by karmathanever »

Hi everyone

May be wasting a bit of forum space with some trivia but I am pretty excited.
For many years, my main instrument has been, and still is drums - I currently play in a 20-piece big band (jazz/commercial) and also less occasionally in a cover band.

My keyboard playing and performing over the years has mostly been solo or duo work hence I have been totally obsessed with the Korg arrangers.
A short while ago, I bought the Kronos-61 and soon after was invited to join a blues band as a keyboard player (no arranger requirements although I use both my keyboards MIDI'd!!!).

Last night was my very first gig - as a REAL keyboard player like you guys - I mostly used the fabulous sounds of the CX-3 engine (to churn out some Gary Moore/Stevie Ray Vaughn numbers) and some O/D guitars to battle with our guitarist!!

The Kronos sounded absolutely outstanding (despite my playing  )

This is a brilliant instrument and thanks to all you guys for the great advice, shared experiences and files, and help in this forum - if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have even half the features of the KK set up as yet...

That was all I wanted to say...

Cheers

Pete :D

You don't have finished to get amazed and amused by this machine, even it's two months I have it. I also discover new things every day with it, I do think the turn around won't be close, as I felt with a Nord Stage 2... A great machine indeed, but I'm geek =)

I borrowed a Kaoss pad 3 from a friend and I love to make loops by choosing a random sound and record it's drum track, then I chosse another sound like bass or lead and let's rumble !

I just used my Kronos only one time for gig, the 21/06 which is the music's fiesta in France. Is that the same in other countries ?
