i have tried several changes in wave form and LFO settings to with Trigger sync on and off to notice what happens when i press a key. However i have not noticed any discernible change or from the current setting.

I got this much from surfing for info...this is in relation to DAW, but i am assuming the TRIGGER SYNC does the same in relation to the LFO's time...still with or without it the layer of keys I'm adding on top of a pattern seems unaffected.

A form of synchronization where the slave device does not stay resolved to the master. Trigger sync works by starting the slave device at the proper time to be “in sync” with the master. The two (or more) devices then move forward at their own speeds. Depending upon the characteristics of the devices it is likely they will drift out of sync with one another over time, but for a limited period this can be an effective and inexpensive way to synchronize two systems. This is quite often the standard way DAW’s sync to the outside world because the computing power to recalculate sample rates on the fly can eat up a lot of horsepower. When more precision is desired a stable reference clock (often coming from a special synchronizer) is introduced for the system to resolve to. Some DAW’s have been designed to “retrigger” each separate audio region at the proper time (based on incoming time code), which is a great way to maximize the potential effectiveness of trigger sync.

LFO "Trigger Sync" is for restarting the LFO shape cycle each time you press a key.

To understand this better, think of it like you would a set of numbers. Imagine that the "Saw" LFO is a repeating number cycle of 1, 2, 3, 4 that just keeps looping.

With "Trigger Sync" set on, every time you press a key the cycle will start at number 1 and then keep repeating. With "Trigger Sync" set OFF, the cycle of 1, 2, 3, 4 will already be looping, regardless of any keys being pressed. This means that anytime you press a key, you could land on any random number within that cycle.

So to sum things up: "Trigger Sync" assures that the LFO shape will always start from a fixed starting point each time press a key.
