Kaoss Pad KP3 Sampling Issue
Hi all, I just recieved my Kp3 and am trying to do a simple test. I am trying to record myself using the included synth in one of the sample banks. What I do is hit SAMPLING, select bank A, then play w.e sounds good on the pad until the sampling time runs out. Bank A glows orange after I've finished, however I don't hear anything playing. I can hear myself when I recorded, but now that I try playing the sample back from the bank, nothing! I clicked A to make it green (even though I know that means its not playing) to see if that would work and (obviously) it didn't. Not sure what is wrong, please help!
Sampling records only external audio coming from either the mic input or the line input, depending on the input select switch, but without effects or anything else that you hear - like loops that are playing.
Resampling records any loops that are playing, internal audio and effects. The KP3 synth is an internal sound, so you must use Resampling to loop it. You can combine two or more loops with additional effects with Resampling to a new pad, which let's you build up layers.
One really good way to use Resampling is to build up multiple layers of loops of a single kind of part, like rhythm, bass, pads, and vocals. This lets you construct more complex songs by then bringing these parts in and out.
External Audio Inputs -> Sampling Point -> Internal loops/synth/effects -> Resampling Point -> Audio Output/Phones

one pad is fine. just hit shift+Sample Bank A, for example, while playing the synth and it will record.
HOWEVER, let's say you have something already recorded on BANK A and you want to resample the synth over it. You will need to hit shift+SAMPLE, BANK B (or C or D) to record synth over whats playing on A. Otherwise, if you hit BANK A, you will lose whats currently on there and just have the synth part playing. Makes sense?

I am having the same problem and tried what you suggested and I still cannot record using the built in drum patterns or synth sounds.roblabs wrote:one pad is fine. just hit shift+Sample Bank A, for example, while playing the synth and it will record.
