I have a KP3 with the audio out from my laptop running into the Line In and the Line Out running to an external mixer (Alesis Multimix 8 FX). Making a tune using other hardware, I now want to add the effects from the KP3 (filters etc.) into the mix while recording a new channel in Ableton Live 9. And the result is this, Example 1 is the track without effects, exported directly from Live as a WAV. Example 2 is the recording from the KP3, hard to define the effects I've used as you won't know the track, but it's the skipping that's the problem. Is it a problem with the settings in Live, do I need an additional interface, is it a problem with the a cable? Help
i have a kaoss pro and also use live 9. based on research and experience the only way to use loops in ableton is to record them to an sd card and then bring them from the card to your daw to be worked with there. i have seen other people who posted youtube videos either a.) plug the pad into a tablet or laptop via usb cord and use the editor from the korg website or b.) (this is the preferred method based on what i've seen) plug your pad into another synth on mixer with a midi cord and play certain parts live. i'm not sure if you can plug it into a sound card or audio interface but you might want to look into it. not sure if i helped but it's nice to know i'm not the only one with this problem. i'm on a limited budget and am still trying to decide on a less expensive mixer to pair with my pro. oh, if you manage to hook it up like you described watch you volume levels. if you record something and then make it into a waveform, you'll have issues turning it down once you export it to a live session.
oh i forgot. to reduce clicks i use simpler. you may have sampler though as you seem to have the full version of 9. so basically i'm suggesting remixing the audio.
