E2/ES2 the pattern gap still exists.

Tests have shown the gap is still there. It is not only noticeable on some patterns but could also cause sync drifting and other weird timing issues.

The New Pattern Gap.
Previously I recorded the pattern gap by creating two patterns each with just one part playing; one note, saw wave, on a continual drone (last step tied to first), then recorded switching from one pattern to the other. I put the waveform into a sample editor, zoomed in and highlighted the gap. Before the update the gap was 0.031 seconds or 31 milliseconds. I repeated the process after the update and the gap is now 0.028 seconds or 28 milliseconds. The length of the sel(ection) is down in the bottom right hand corner.

If only I could contact Korg directly rather than my seller, who is already tired of hearing all the issues.

Might just have to return mine once again. Why doesn't Korg have a rep on this forum or somewhere where they actually answer questions from buyers and potential buyers? Sigh.

It boggles my mind.

Returned my E2 to the dealer exactly after three weeks trying to deal with this issue (OS 1.10).

Only 4 bars pattern length and no song mode "ok", but paired with that gap/note cutoff whilst changing pattern is a no-go criteria!

Sync drift is a huge deal breaker for me. I want to use a es2 as a master seq and midi clock. Is this not going to be possible because of the pattern gap issue?

I've not found it to be a problem. I have Volcas and a Gaia running sequences independent of the e2 and there seems to be no drifting. When I sync them up via sync or midi it's fine.

Thanks Frenzies, thats all i wanted. Just some confirmation from someone who is actually using it that its not an issue.
