No, sorry. The arranger has a vocal processor built in while the Kronos doesn't. Vocal processors can be bought separately. ;)

It's unclear whether he is using a vocoder or a pre-recorded samples in the video segment ??
but. to answer your question Yes ! you can process a microphone signal by sending it thru Kronos internal efx

kronos does not have a harmonizer and perhaps de-essers (not sure)
other than those you can do a lot with the excellent fx, kronos has on input signal.

It would probably be easier to get an external device, especially if you intend to use it a lot (e.g. backing vocals with a band for lots of songs) as you will need to set it up for each Program or Combi.

I use a TC Helicon Harmony-M which takes a feed from the MIDI out on the Kronos to get the keys. It has very limited effects. It is discontinued, but there are plenty of other products now depending on which features you want. I also have the the VoiceLiveplay too but haven't specifically used it with the Kronos. The range of effects and options are very good and they have just updated it so you can put your band foldback into it so that it can work out the harmonies - I've not tried it, but in theory you could use an output on the Kronos to feed that. (I am gigging tomorrow night so will try it if I have time.)

I am told the Boss pedal is superb too - especially if you want to use it for looping. (Ed Sheeran uses one, I believe.)

O really don't think the Kronos will do those vocal effects. I agree with the idea that you'd need an external vocal processor.

Having both the Kronos and Vocal units, I agree.

Whilst you can route any audio signal through the Kronos and use its effects, it does not have the the effects processing of a vocal unit such as harmonising, etc.

But I have taken a TC Helicon VoiceLive and fed it into the Kronos just so that the output of the VoiceLive went through the same reverb as the music.
