im so sorry....from the DAW when working with Kronos. All my other synths and samplers seem to work fine, they are also older. Kronos the only problem child....im sure it was a combination of Daw, Old Midisport 8X8 and Kronos.
Never really tested out using USB midi....thats just not my cup of tea and I have way too many other synths and samplers, hence the midisport 8X8

Great that you got it sorted.
I wonder what if you wanted to record sysex as automation in the daw? Likely should not cause problems with USB midi as that is what I have done a few times without any issues.
