Beep sound coming from my KRONOS when playing piano sounds.

Post by bazic »

Hello dear users of this website! I have a problem where my Korg KRONOS makes these random beep sounds, but only when playing piano sounds for example: Kronos Grand or German Dark. I tried both of my monitors (M-Audio BX5) tried different combinations of cables, and i came to a conclusion that the keyboard is making this problem, not the monitors which i thought at first. I tried messing with the sound files a bit, like loading them again and stuff, but it really did not do anything. I would be VERY grateful if somebody could help me. Thanks!

Are you by chance in Combi mode, and there is something ‘beeping’ from another track?

clarify.

Is the beep intermittent ? random ?

Does it occur only when playing the keys ?

or only when navigating the LCD ?

Or both ?

Keep all other devices, iPhones, iPads , tablets away from your K- just to isolate
your K is not picking up some random tone

1.) Nope there isnt anything in combi thats producing the sound
2.) Yea the beep sound is random, and it ONLY happens when i play, its not beeping when i dont play or when i scroll the menu.

Maybe trying loading factory preload patches again and see if it's still there. Then reload your saved programs. Just a thought.

UPDATE!!!

Post by bazic »

UPDATE: Okay with a bit of experimenting, i now can see that the problem is in one tone, that is tone "H" (the one left from C, i think in America they call it "B"), more accuratelly, its the H3 tone , So only that tone is making that sound, And no, the problem is not in the physical key, because when i transpose it for "-1" octave, than the H2 tone is making the random beep sound..

Is it the German Grand or Japanese Grand or Berlin Grand or all pianos or Eps.

If you have done a previous Save All I would reload everything again and see if the beep is still there.

I think there is a factory folder on SSD and just load it again to see if that clears up the beep.

Yes reload the preload set and try that won't hurt. I think you should gave Japanese Grand. You must have the original K.

How exactly do i do that, because it doesnt let me load in the whole folder, do i have to load every one of these PCG, SNG and KSC folders manually?
