4: Up to 400 MB of user PCM data. This is a very unusual number that suggests KORG are not using typical RAM in the traditional sense it's using in the PA3X. Ram goes upwards in specific multiples. For example, 1,2, 4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512 and so on. Never an odd number like 400MB. Maybe that suggests a bit of KORG M50 thinking is inside the Pa4X.
Or they allocated some part of that Memmory directly to the OS and not available to the user?
If so, that suggests it doesn't operate at all like the Pa3X for user samples or any other Pa-Series Arranger. Shared memory like that sounds like a KROME hybrid of some sort.

Excellent news.-
Perhaps the best is new sound engine.- Although we must wait till first units are put in the market, so we can test it.-
The most important is that Korg keep producing the best keyboards in the market.-
Congratulations.

It doesn't matter what you post Rick, I don't want it.

"Direct Access" is the only feature I'm missing on my PA900. I know chances are very low but I hope they will consider adding it to the previous models through OS update.

it really looks like Korg may have done a "Tyros-type-of-update" on this one.
Why radically change an instrument that's as good as PA3X?
I think Korg did a terrific job with PA4X, keeping the layout of the instrument about the same, but adding a lot of features, better processors, better screen etcetera.
I'm glad Korg choose to do so. When I step over to PA4X (in a couple of years probably....) I'm already quite familiar with the instrument.
I hope they kept the instrument compatible with PA3X, because that was the only thing that was a big downside when I stepped over from PA800 to PA3X.
It took me quite some time to get my songbook back in place.
