My K_X61 has been down for over 2 months and the service center is having problems fixing it. I'm thinking about buying two 2gb ram sticks which I know are SODIMMs (laptop style). Can anyone please give me a recommendation, maybe something you've used successfully?
Thank you, major withdrawals and great fear setting in here in PA!

The specs for the RAM are in the original Kronos owner manual. Best place to buy RAM when you have the info is crucial.com

Did not know that the Kronos X used different RAM as the original. Also surprised that your Service Center does not know the RAM specs.
www.crucial.com is the place to go when you have the info about the RAM

Had to go to Intel's site to find the proper memory for the D525MW motherboard, have to assume that'll be fine for the Kronos X as well. After considerable research this is what I got.
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Laptop Memory Model F3-8500CL7D-4GBSQ -
1.5v
The motherboard can take up to DDR 1333, but in either case, will drop the memory speed down to 800mhz.
