I will take your word that is impressive. My google needs a break today.

I bet he can't touch my playing- lots of old slow melodic songs with out of time chord changes :)

Yep, KRONOS is the best all in one synth on planet earth.
Or at least in my opinion. :) 8)

What Program is closest to the keyboard intro of Vogue ?

I am using String Pad. Its sort of close but not exact. Similar to my playing :)

I think there's no "best".
I'm a new Kronos user (have it for 2 weeks) but I already went through most (if not all) of the factory sounds.

Most of them are very, very good.

but, the Guitars are some of the worst I've heard. especially the STR-1 stuff. my Motif beats the hell out of the Kronos in that regard.

The other thing lacking is (non symphonic) brass. Not enough good and usable trumpet and sax sounds (for jazz soloing, etc). also in that department Yamaha is on top.

Pianos, EPs, pads, leads, analog-ish sounds, FM, strings - amazing!

I don't think rating the Kronos the best synth ever is based just on the factory sounds, but rather its sound making ability. The depth of synthesis available, disk streaming, multi-FX's etc.

There are libraries of new sounds available that cover most musical needs.

Totally agree i do not use any factory patches. Imagination is a wonderful thing.

i think it depends on what material you are working on.

I started on Signed Sealed Delivered

The factory sitar program is fine. I am using Stinger bass and the trance kit.

I might use EXs for the brass.

Since I am doing cover material from 60s/70's where there are about 12 Programs , its important for all the instruments to work together.

I personalize these tunes, embellish them. I also use creativity with Fx. The factory guitars get beefed up with Fx, for example.

I wouldn't run out to get the Motif for their guitars( they are better) .
