Kronos and Micro arranger

Post by eddie crespo »

Hi all,

Would any one know if it's possible to connect a Micro arranger to the Kronos via Midi cable and access the arranger's backing track. Last week I played for a friend for an hour gig. With only 12 songs only recorded in the Kronos, I was not able to play songs I knew but hasn't been pre recorded in the Kronos yet. It's just for a stop gap solution. Thanks and a good day to all. eddie

Yes, you can create a COMBI that allows you to split and send your left hand out on a specific midi channel for the Micro Arranger to pick up the necessary Chords.

Sharp.

You also might want to check if you can have the arranger, while triggered with the LH from the Kronos, can send the midi note and cc messages for drums, bass and acc tracks back to Kronos, so you can benefit from the high quality sounds in Kronos. That requires some careful mixing and tweaking of the sounds to have it sound good.

I have done that for some songs linking the Kronos to an old Korg PA2X and that works nicely. Drums need in many cases than be transposed 1 octave, since the note mapping on Kronos is different from GM
