I get such a full great sound from my pa3x I usually record live but just felt like laying some tracks..Just wanted to pass this on , don't know if anyone records this way , but figured what the heck.using a foster digital recorder & my pa3x , I first balance my rhythm section , piano , bass & drums , then record a stereo mix Out the left&right output to track 1, the lead vocal set to output 1&2 to track 2. Track 1 has the rhythm section , track 2 has lead vocal. Now this is the tricky part.. Realizing the harmonizer doesn't work unless you are playing a chord & not wanting to use a few tracks for harmony vocals , plus the time singing each part , I used the 3x harmonizer , I slid the fader down so my piano sound is off but the harmonizer will still be able to follow the chords I play .. I was able to add , on just 2 tracks, harmony vocal , backup oohs & ash.. It really turned out cool .. I have control over the music, and the vocals..also had tracks left for solos .. Well, not sure if any else records like a this but I really enjoyed the many ways you can use the pa3x .

Hi al

I record a lot with vocal harmoniser (my daughter is the singer) and I have thought about do it this way - you've inspired me to give it a go.

(I have just acquired a Roland VP770 and want to try setups hooked to my PA3X for vocal recording.)

Thanks

Pete :D
