Sorry to go on about this....
It seems you're talking to the "wrong" people....despite the good intentions of dv247 etc.

I did find that the contact between themselves and KorgUK a little lacking in the past....just one of those things,of course.
Things improved dramatically when I went direct.

Five to six weeks is not the norm....even if parts need to be ordered from Japan.

Best Wishes.

Just spoke to DV again they said it has been sent to Korg in Germany and because they have over 70k products there can be a delay, I asked can I have the details to contact them direct and they said they don't give out that information. The sales guys said he is checking with their dispatch team to see what is happening. I stated it should take that amount of time, i'm sure korg are not fixing 70k faulty kronos's.

Darn it !
I forgot dv247 are now a German company.
However,it really doesn't make much sense to ship it there as KorgUK are virtually "local",between London and Milton Keynes.

Anyway my friend, you can still contact KrorgUK Support and inform them of your plight.
They probably won't intervene, but it's better to let them know.

I think the 70k is related to the total amount of all products dv247 or Korg Germany deal with.....but that is not a customer's concern,is it..?

I can feel your frustration with this ongoing farce, but can't suggest anything else that could help, other than making the manager of dv247 aware of the situation as well etc.
Although warranty repairs are beyond their direct control, you are a dv247 customer and they need to respond in a more constructive way.

By the way...I tend to use email method of contact.....anything can be said during a phone conversation.

Best Wishes.

Spoke to Korg UK they can't help me because the serial number is different for uk models compared to german models. The said if dv had sent it to them it would of been done in a week. The lady at korg was a bit mythed to why they have sent it to korg germany, but said I have to deal with the retailer as it was purchased from them. I am getting really concerned now because i'm being left with not much info to whats happening

Sorry to hear KorgUK can't really help…..(I half suspected they may not have been able to, due to the latest information we have)….it was worth a try, though.

So,perhaps "Plan B" may help……contact the manager of dv247 to see if he can offer better information and escalate things.
(Yes…be a polite nuisance if you need to).

Realising you're really fed up with this, but trying to do something positive may ease the stress.

I hope my attempts to help hasn't led you astray or given any sort of "false hope"….

I've looked at my previous dealings regarding repair (my keyboard went back and fourth 4 times in total over a period of five to six months) and dv247 did initially mention a 4 week turnaround, but the longest time was within 3 weeks via them, the other within 2 weeks.
As said,KorgUK direct was within a week,on both the remaining occasions.

This was of course to Milton Keynes, not Germany….

Thank you for sending the updates…..please do continue to do so.

I'm sure the Kronos will return home in good working order and play can recommence..... :)

Best Wishes.

Well i spoke to them again and they are sying 4 to six weeks and i said well its been almost 7 weeks i asked to speak to a manager and they said my reason did not warrant that as there is nothing they can do, they offered me a korg pa3x 73 as temp replacement but i said what is the point of that its a completley different soundset i have anough synths to keep me occupied of my own its the fact i have projects im working on that use korg kronos sounds and the guys said why not download a kronos sample pack for a vst sampler, i said are you taking the p*** i spent over 2 grand for a hardware synth specifically for the sound character and synth engine of the kronos. I told him ill give it another week or ill be going to trading standards and putting a claim in under the sales of goods act. At no point in the past 7 weeks have they bothered to contact me to give me an update. The sales guy said sometimes there can be a delay because the synth could just be sat on a pallet for sometime before the engineer gets to it. I said well replace it with another kronos and he said they dont make the kronos 1 no more so i said well you replace it like for like give me a kronos 2 and take the wooden cheeks off and we will be square anyway we will see what happens.

Sorry to hear about this terrible experience. I'm absolutely flabbergasted by the sales guys suggesting you get an (illegal?!?) Kronos sample pack and a VST sampler. I hope someone from Korg reads this and gives them a talking to.

Also on behalf of the bad service you're getting of course.

I bet you didn't speak to the same person each time....which can be frustrating in having to repeat the case.
That is one reason I usually choose to use email, albeit slower, but I can maintain a contact flow to a named person and there is a record of the communication.

However,a phone call can often produce a quicker result with some things if it's a one off query.

When there were dv247 countrywide shops,I used to deal with the Birmingham branch and had very good service from all the staff.
My Kronos purchase was dealt with by the manager and I continued to deal with him exclusively from then on as he could provide better deals with other stuff I bought, as we spoke etc.
Soon after this, all the shops were closed, meaning I lost a good point of contact and dv247 lost potential sales.

Since then,I use other outlets like GAK... Amazon.....or even EBay.

I probably would consider dv247 in the future though, depending on the item and delivery times.

Incidentally, the previous dv247 manager did find alternative employment,I was pleased to learn,as he had customer skills that were appreciated, which in turn also helped promote sales.
I don't know what happened to the other staff members, though.

Forgive my waffle.....

Best Wishes.

How long does it take to install a software driver jeez. 8 weeks to be told that. I have demanded a refund or a replacement but they cant do nothing today as the manager and their returns department are not in. Appauling company

more than one year ago my Korg Kronos have had a start up fail problem. the warranty was over. And I have to wait for more than 7 weeks before my Korg was repaired. But I must say that the Korg staff did a real good job. And for free. I just paid nothing. Since no more problems have occured. The Korg staff have said me just one thing : Always wait for a little time, never go too fast for making an O.S. update... A damn good advice. So be patient.
