Save Program with Karma to Combi

I am sorry if this is a basic question, but I cannot figure it out.
I want to know how to take a program I have created with its Karma and assign it to a Combi slot and then map that slot to a keyboard zone so that when I turn on the Karma in the combi it is only active on that track in that key zone without effecting any other slot.
I have no problem writing the program and assigning it to a Combi with a specific keyboard zone, but I can't get the Karma to import and only apply to that patch.
Thanks in advance.

Choose "Copy From Program" page menu command by a COMBI mode, make it setting of "with KARMA" is On and carry out.

Thanks onsenonsen,
That part I am good on. When I then map that slot to say C1 to C3 and set the Karma to that track, it is still affecting the other timbres. Is there a further step I am missing in the Combi setup?

Yes - you need to pay attention to the MIDI Channel of each timbre. Timbres that are on the same MIDI Channel will be affected by the KARMA Module that is assigned to that channel.

In a program, there isn't a MIDI channel per se (no setting). It simply uses the Global MIDI Channel (generally Ch 1).

So, when you import that program into a Combi, it will end up with the KARMA Module on Ch1, which is NOT what you want in a combi most of the time, because all of the timbres assigned to be played by the keyboard will end up reacting to the same KARMA Module - because they are all on Ch 1 by default. So, do this:

On the Timbre Parameters > MIDI page, set the MIDI Channel of the timbre that you want to apply KARMA to to Ch 2.
Then, on the KARMA > GE Setup page, set the Output Channel of the KARMA Module (towards the bottom of the page) to Ch 2 (matching what you did above).

Now, the KARMA should only affect that one timbre on MIDI Channel 2.

OK. Try the following way.

(1) Choose Init Combi.
(2) "Copy From Program" carry out the command by the following setting.

with KARMA is On
To:Timbre02 Module:B

(3) Turn on KARMA [ON/OFF] Switch.
(4) Choose P7:KARMA - MIDI Filter/CC Offset page.
(5) Change all Transmit MIDI Filter of Module A to Off.
(6) Play the keyboard.
(7) KARMA will be to give the effect to only T02.

This might work, but there's no good reason to do it this way and NOT use Module A, with the steps I indicated in my post above.

Thanks. That worked.
