Katy Perry Patches

Post by synthterborg »

Hey Friends,
I recently was contracted for a Katy Perry show. Boatload of synths in her stuff. Before I start programming hell, I thought I would check to see if anyone has any patches for any of her hits (see list below). I did see Dan Stesco's patch for Hot and Cold that was a help. If anyone has any patches, wants to lay out programming instructions, or has a third-party resource you want to point me towards, I would be very grateful.

Song List:
Birthday
California Gurls
Dark Horse
ET
Firework
Hot and Cold
I Kissed a Girl
Last Friday Night
Not Like The Movies
Part of Me
Roar
Teenage Dream
The One That Got Away
Thinking of You
Unconditionally
Waking Up In Vegas
Walking On Air

Intro Synth to California Girls is in the Kronos 2 Soundpack ( B103 ) ..I don't have a K2 or I'd send you the PCG and you don't need to have EXs 17 or 18 either . Just Saying :D

Are you programming for Katy Perry herself, or is it a tribute show?

Thanks LunaLuna.
I saw the demo of that patch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcH3aVlp-48 at 2:30
I will look closer at the entire pack to see if there a other useful patches as the price tag is pretty steep.

Some of the price tags for software expansions defies belief in my opinion, particularly as they're tied to the board on which they're installed - why not keep the option of cards so you can have several boards and take your expansions with you rather than the board itself?? This also makes having a back-up board pointless as well - bad move in my opinion, I'll stick with VST's until Korg realise this method just isn't viable for professional touring artists.

Sorry, off topic rant over 🤕 it does wind me up though.
