Sliding trombone

Post by cufc74 »

Hi, is it possible to use the joy stick to slide a trombone sound down 3 whole notes (tritone)? At the moment the joy stick will only gliss up or down 1 whole tone - this I presume is how the Kronos is preset. Can this easily be altered to 3 or more notes?

If this trombone sound is a Program, then the place to look is the Osc/Pitch tab, and from that the OSC1 and/or OSC2 Pitch tabs, where the JS(+X) and JS(-X) parameters can be found. The values are semitones, up to a maximum of 12 i.e. one octave so set it to 06 for 3 whole notes.

Voip's reply is exactly right, except one small thing (which is totally useless for a realistic trombone gliss)...

The pitch bend range can go up to +/-60 max, not +/-12. This might be useful for a theremin-like sound, for example.
