Electribe SmkII & Kaos pad 2

Hello Everyone,
I'm new into Midi world so forgive me if I say something stupid
I bought recently an Electribe and I would like to know and understand what I can do it linked to the Kp2 I read the manual so I hooked up like this...
Electribe midi out --> -Kp2 midi in
Electribe audio out --> Kp2 audio in
Kpd audio out to mixer in
Nothing seems really changed than before ( in audio only linked )
Hod do I need to set the midi clock from Electribe? Internal or Ext?
What can I really do using them in this configuration?????
