Combination mode: "Piano & Strings
Does anyone know how to put the string volume on the tone knob to turn up and down volume as shown on this video?

thanx and merry Christ-mas

actually I think it was the velocity control knob.

Hi !

Is not a resonance. Is a User Knob 2.
Select the A000 Piano & Strings.
Open Page P1 Controllers
In the Realtime Control Knob Assign zone will see the USER[2] are set to Knob Mod 2 (CC#19) by default.

Change the USER[2] to Volume (CC#07)
Check the KNOB 2 now ;-)

Ill try it tomorrow when I go to church where the Korg is.
I thought I had to do something like that :D Makes sense

I just hate touching the strings on the screen... if you don't hit it just right it might not sound or solo etc
its better to have a volume control in the user mode

thanks again

An expression pedal is another way to do this. The MIDI filters for the Combi need to be set so only the strings get the CC#07 or CC#11 messages that the Krome generates from the pedal input (set in the Global menus). Using CC#11 is preferable.

Thanks VoIP , but I have 2 pedals going already one sustain another trigger a Roland VK8M organ sound module Leslie simulator so 3 pedals might be too much and it's just the strings only I want volume control over nothing else but good idea thanks

Thanks Dan.... it worked! one little problem maybe you can help Im not a midi expert

I have my Krome midied into my Nord E5 so when I adjust the strings on the Krome it affects the Nord (so I turned off program change on the Krome)
but then the sustain on the Nord doesn't work.... any midi suggestions to have both working together.

thanx

Ok.
The Knob transmit the Control Change not Program Change so open the Krome GLOBAL>MIDI and turn off the Enable Control Change. Unfortunately will stop the damper transmit too. So use a different damper pedal for NORD.
All the best,
Dan
