Jesus, Leone, grow a pair, will ya? You said what you want, others say what they want. For instance, Korg could completely remove Karma, and I'd never even notice. Never used it. Not once. But I don't care that others do.

So to me, your post would infer that all people wants improvements to something that they don't use, hence telling Korg to do that wastes my time when I upgrade. So why are you telling Korg to waste MY time?

If you're going to stay on a forum in the music world, you better get thicker skin, because the only "logging" we do here, is when we drop a log.

Wow, I'm at a loss for words.
That's about as ignorant as for someone who's never played piano saying it's trivial, because all you have to do is to press the right key at the right time.
Chrutil, I think that was a very apt analogy. Just change the word "ignorant" for the word "ill-informed" or "smart" or "accurate", and the message is the same.

And by the way, thanks for taking the immense amount of time and effort and know-how to write those GUI's for the AL-1 and PolySix engine! Gonna hafta check those out. Obviously you're a coder who knows what he's talking about...

Bit harsh to treat people like this. Leone gives me an impression he cares a lot for his/her Kronos.

I am glad there is a new update for the kronos and that lots of bug fixes have been resolved, but I struggle to see what else for me is this delivering.

Quick split / layer? That's a bit disappointing. Yes they are easier to create but the Kronos already has the ability to create splits and layers. I do not get it; if you want to make something new why not adding:

- Piano roll
- More Karma module (I love the montage with 8 independent arps)
- Ability to make your GE via one track in the sequencer and import it (like the Montage does via the simple recorder with os v1.2.4)
- A hardware upgrade to get rid of the polyphony problems with combi (there are keyboards out there that have more polyphony under the hood)
- more track in the sequencers (I miss my Roland Fantom G with 128 tracks)
- add mouse support (like the Roland Fantom G)
- a new synth engine - a bit more modern in sounds and perhaps dedicated to dance / trance / edm

You could go on with lots of other requests, that are not new at all.

Also after looking at the User Interface of the new QUick Split / Layer it looks like being done on a cheap...

Do not get me wrong I love that Korg is keeping producing updates but I think they could do a bit more, particulalry as the Kronos is a PC inside so they just have to write new software.

Leone, if you want to make your own arps and 8 arps is enough buy a Montage, it will give you that. If I am not mistaken it also has 128 poliphony for AWM2 and 128 for FM stereo. So technically 256 stereo poliphony, that should be enough. You will have however to say goodbye to the sequencer (unless you keep the Kronos).

I think it's 128 total and that's counting every single operator of an FM part as one voice. There was a discussion on this disappointing fact a while ago when it first came out.
