How to create KSC installer
I have a lot of samples that I did, and I would like to create an installer, just like we have today for the packages purchased.
Is there a program that creates this easily?

EXs use installers because they are stored in a specific part of the disk, and use copy protection. With user samples, neither of these is the case; you can just copy the files. Is there a specific reason that you want to create an installer?

Actually - I do have a vested interest in learning how to do something like this... I've deconstructed the files included and tried to start generally reverse engineering how it'd be done but obviously the biggest catch was the licensing.danatkorg wrote:EXs use installers because they are stored in a specific part of the disk, and use copy protection. I might PM you directly Dan, but if there's "definitely" no way unless you're a licensed Korg partner of some kind, sign me up. That'd be cool too!

The licensing is a separate issue, and you're right that you'll need to be an official developer, selling through the Korg store, to use that. If you're interested, just send me mail at my address below (no PMs, please).

You have to load the samples into memory, not the _userbank version if you want them to be included in the next file save.
Usually I'll unload all samples, load the ones I want in the next file into memory, then save the .KSC and add the _userbank version to the preload.
Agreed it's a bit of a confusing process sometimes, but an installer wouldn't fix this.

If I load my samples into the RAM (loading the KSC and not the UserBank) will go very easy 2GB.LZ wrote:You have to load the samples into memory, not the _userbank version if you want them to be included in the next file save.

In that case I then load as to save all in a single UserBank / KSC

thiagotgc you have misled us all , writing "installer" which is not actually what you need !
(which is the proper way) then briefly in your case do the following :
- Open your custom samples created folder (where initialy saved) and load Ram.KSC in clear mode.
This works also in the folder that was saved under "Save All' option.
- Save "only sampling data" under same name or any in the same folder
- Insert created _userbank.KSC in preload menu and press "Auto Load Now"
- Done
This _userbank .KSC file will include only your custom samples in streaming mode
Then do not "save All" ... when you have created a group of custom samples and you want to load them separatelythiagotgc wrote:when I do a Save All, it saves all ESx, and the last KSC I loaded, the other 9 I did,
